How do I reserve a bike at Empowered?
Our convenient online reservation system makes it easy to sign up and reserve a bike. No more waiting in lines, and no need to call days before to sign up. Click here to reserve a bike today!
Do I need to sign up in advance of class or do you accept walk-ins?
Yes we accept walk-ins but strongly recommend reserving a bike prior to each class. This will guarantee you a bike for yourself, especially during peak times. To schedule a class, click here.
How early should I arrive to my class at Empowered?
First time riders are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early to allow staff time to set you up on your bike and provide you with helpful tips. For safety reasons, riders will not be permitted to enter class after it has started. Please make sure you’re on the bike before the lights go down.
What should I bring and wear to an Empowered class?
Bring a positive attitude! If you’re new to indoor cycling, you may experience some discomfort with the seat. Bringing a gel seat or wearing padded bike shorts will help.
We recommend wearing moisture-wicking, comfortable clothes to keep cool and dry throughout class. Stiff-soled sneakers may be worn during class. However, for greater benefit, we recommend wearing cycling shoes. Our state of art Stages™ bikes accommodate SPD pedals.
Hydration is key so don’t forget to bring a water bottle. A purified water cooler is available. If you do forget to bring a bottle, we do sell bottled water in our studio.
I'm lost, where are you?
We are in the rear building of the One Stop Shopping center. We are behind Harry’s Pizza. You can park in the front plaza and walk through the center walkway or in the parking lot in front of our building which is accessible via Sycamore Street.
Do you provide workout towels at Empowered?
Yes, we provide complimentary workout towels for use during class.
What is PTP?
PTP stands for Personal Threshold Power. It is a 3-minute best effort benchmark that is run during the first quarter of class. The results of PTP are used to gauge various training zones throughout the ride.
What are the age, weight, and height requirements to ride a bike at Empowered?
Riders must be 14 or older and at least 4’10”. Our bikes have a max user weight of 350 lbs. Parental consent is required for anyone under 18 years of age.
How many calories will I burn per Empowered class?
There are many factors that need to be considered such as the amount of energy you put into class. Research shows that most indoor cyclists burn between 500-700 calories in a 50-minute class but we do have many riders who have burned upwards of 800 calories per ride!
How are Empowered classes different from other indoor cycling classes offered at big box gyms or other studios?
Empowered classes are like no other cardio experience. Performance-based classes and top-of-line technology are just the beginning. Our amazing instructors, professional sound and lighting also differentiate the experience. Come experience the difference for yourself and be empowered!
What is Empowered’s cancellation policy?
You may cancel up to 4 hours before the start of class without penalty. If you do not cancel within the 4-hour time, you will forfeit a class credit. If you have an unlimited package, you will be charged a no-show fee. No exceptions.
What is your inclement weather policy?
We will try our best not to cancel classes or close the studio. However, for the safety of our riders and staff, we recognize that we may need to close due to inclement weather. Starting the night before, please check the website schedule, for a most up-to-date schedule. If you are already registered for a class, you will receive an email notification if the class has been cancelled. You will not be charged a class if there is a studio cancellation.
